Experience

Current Role

Senior Manager - Instructional Computing Services (2014 - present)

Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia)

In my current role, I oversee a small team of 5 people (4 full-time, 1 part-time). Together, we support the university's classroom/lab computing needs across 35 academic buildings, 300+ rooms, and we support over 650+ loaner laptops for students and instructional faculty. In addition to our classrooom technology support services, we also administer and support several of VCU's university-wide academic software programs (enterprise-level licensing), such as Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoDesk, ESRI (ArcGIS), SketchUp, Top Hat, Unity, and several smaller agreements.

Previous Role

Web Developer and Systems Admin - School of Public and International Affairs (2010 - 2014)

Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, Virginia)

In my previous role, I oversaw and provided direct technology support to ALL faculty/staff within the school on the Blacksburg, Virginia campus. This was a comprehensive technology support role encompassing everything from purchasing and procurement, desktop/laptop and classroom technology support, as well as software licensing and delivery. In addition to these duties, I also managed one student worker who helped me maintain a private in-house print shop for small, medium, and large format printing/scanning needs by the school's students and employees.
